Eating a Chicken Sandwich at Uproar Lounge and Restaurant

Beyonce plays at the bar while Third Eye Blind plays on the rooftop patio. The rooftop bar next to this one is full of straight guys looking down on the few bears out here tonight. Most of the DC bear community are probably in the downstairs bar getting ready for the MarioKart tournament later tonight. Chappell Roan starts to play on the patio. I wonder if the bears painted on the outdoor mural are the only other ones who will be out here tonight. There’s a generic club beat coming from the straight bar next door as effective as bear mace at driving us away. The mural also says “Born This Way” in rainbow letters. As I take a sip of Hoegaarden, I wonder if I was too. I for sure wasn’t born to eat this dry-ass sandwich, but I do anyways as police sirens blare downstairs.
